OMG!! Three Babies Dead, 100 Missing In Migrant Shipwreck In Libya

The lifeless bodies of three babies were brought ashore in Libya on Friday, victims of a Mediterranean migrant shipwreck in which survivors say 100 people are still missing.

Around 120 migrants were aboard the inflatable craft when it ran into trouble, according to survivors taken to Al-Hmidiya, east of the capital Tripoli.

Sixteen people were rescued, while the missing included two babies and three children under the age of 12.
Survivors told AFP the boat sank a few hours after its pre-dawn departure from Garaboulli, east of Tripoli, following an explosion on board.

The motor then caught fire and the vessel began taking on water, they said. The passengers included several Moroccan families, none of whom survived.

‘Why We Kidnapped & Raped Old Victims’- Suspect Speak

A suspected kidnapper, Nnamdi Ethelbert, Ogidi, has been arrested by detectives attached to the Anti-kidnapping Squad, Imo State Police Command.
Ogidi has a record of kidnapping elderly women.

The 34-year-old confessed to the police that he and his gang members who are currently at large have abducted several persons out of which 15 of them were elderly women.

Ogidi was arrested after he kidnapped a 74-year-old Regina Nkwocha, from Umuanyika, Ngorokpala Local Government Area of Imo state.

They had entered negotiation for N20million ransom when detectives busted their hideout at Umuaguma in Owerri west, Imo state on May 23, 2018. Ogidi was arrested while the other members of his gang escaped.

The Imo state Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi told Sun that the suspect, Ogidi popularly known as Bori and his gang members have been on the wanted list of the police over several cases of kidnapping.

The Police Commissioner explained that back in November 29, 2017, Ogidi and his gang kidnapped Adulphus Akagha aged 94; on May 7, 2018, they kidnapped 65 -year-old Dorothy Nkwo and demanded for N5million ransom.
She was later released after the family paid N500, 000.

He stated that Ogidi had successfully kidnapped Mrs. Nkwocha and was negotiating for a N20million ransom when detectives led by Supol Sani Ahmed stormed their hideout and rescued the victim.

At the police station, Ogidi confessed that he joined the gang of kidnappers five years ago.

“I am from Imo State and after dropping out of senior secondary school, I learnt how to become a mechanic.
“Along the line, I met bad friends who initiated me into the deadly cult group known as Debam fraternity.

Most of them were into one bad thing or the other, so it was easy for me to join a gang of kidnappers who are also members of the cult.
“We derive pleasure in kidnapping elderly women and while their family members will be running around for ransom, we will take turns to rape the women.

“Our hideout is at Egbema local government. We prefer elderly women because it is easier to control them and their family members are always in a hurry to pay for their release” he said.

Ogidi begged all the elderly women that they had kidnapped to forgive him.

“I know that we have made a lot of money from kidnapping but because of the trauma that those women who are old enough to be my mother went through, I am sincerely sorry.

I still hope that the police will arrest the others because I cannot face the consequence of our action alone.”

It is official, on two songs — “Emotionless” and “March 14” — from his new album, Scorpion, Drake announced to the world that he has a son with French artist and sculptor Sophie Brussaux. It seems there are no tracks about Pusha T on the album.

Romance Scam: Nigerian man arrested in Thailand for posing as handsome American to dupe women

A 39-year-old Nigerian man, Martins Junior Ejike Ajejo, has been arrested by tourist police for allegedly deceiving Thai women to wire him money in a so-called romance scam.

Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal, deputy commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, held a press conference today, Friday, June 29, to announce the arrest of Ajejo.

Surachet said Ajejo was arrested on Thursday following an arrest of a Thai woman, Prapinmas Nasutthi, 30, and her Nigerian husband, Gaius Eriamiate, 36.

Surachet said the couple were arrested on June 21 while withdrawing money from an ATM that had been wired in by their victims.

The couple implicated Ajejo as being part of the gang.

Surachet said Ajejo was accused of impersonating a handsome western man and deceiving Thai women that he had sent them a gift that was being kept at the customs office and needed money for customs clearance.

He would close his Facebook account and open a new one after getting money, Surachet said.


Surachet said Ajejo was first arrested on April 11 but he was later released without charges after his victim withdrew her complaint when she got her money back

A trader identified as Ndubisi Nwokolo was reportedly killed at Onitsha market today and according to eye witness report, he was killed at Bida Road, Main Market Onitsha.

According to Onitsha City news on Facebook, 'his killers are a gang under the leadership of a man called "Ikanda". Ikanda is said to run "Onitsha South".

He is said to be a top man within the MASSOB (Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra) and feared around Onitsha'.

Late Nwokolo was said to have been killed as a result of a brawl for royalty to be paid to 'Ikanda'.
